Meet Our Founder
Mrs. Yvonne Perkins
For His Glory SITG (Standing In The Gap) Ministry: Mrs. Perkins is the visionary behind For His Glory SITG (Standing In The Gap), a dynamic teaching ministry focused on reviving the often-forgotten art of intercession. This specialized training is meticulously designed, spanning 1.5 hours over four intensive weeks, offered both in-person and via Zoom to accommodate diverse schedules and locations. A unique and deeply impactful aspect of this training is the fourth week, which features prophetic individuals who offer personalized prayer and spiritual guidance to each attendee, fostering a profound and transformative experience. This program is not only spiritually enriching but also academically recognized, providing 8 CEU of accredited credit, underscoring its depth and significance.
Beyond individual training, Mrs. Perkins extends her expertise to churches, offering tailored workshops and seminars to empower congregational intercessors. Her authoritative voice in this field is further cemented by her authorship of “For His Glory Standing In The Gap Instructional Manual,” an essential resource readily available on Amazon for those seeking to deepen their understanding and practice of intercession.She has authored Becoming An Intercessor and Speak The Answer,Not The Problem as well.These books can be found on Amazon,and Barnes & Noble.
Academic and Creative Accomplishments: Beyond her contributions to intercessory prayer, Mrs. Perkins boasts an impressive academic background, holding two Master’s degrees in Counseling and a Doctoral degree in Pastoral Care. She devoted 21 years to the Child Welfare System, serving in various capacities including intact worker, placement worker, adoption, and guardianship. Progressing to assistant supervisor, she received several accolades, including Worker of the Year and the Adoption Worker Award. She is a retired Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with years of experience working with those dealing with mental illness in an inpatient unit. Mrs. Perkins has provided individual youth and family counseling
Her holistic approach to ministry is further enriched by her gifts as a gospel songwriter, an area in which she has received numerous accolades and awards, showcasing her creative talent and spiritual depth. Mrs. Yvonne Perkins has had mentions by Billboard, Gospel Synergy Magazine, Song of the Year, Hollywood Music Awards, and her music is listed in the 2008 NBC database for the Beijing Olympics!. Mrs.Perkins has won and also placed semi-finalist and finalist several times over the years, including the Song of the Year award, an international songwriting contest. Her music has been featured on several compilation CD’s. Mrs. Perkins received an award as one of the coaches by The Excellence in Christian Music Academy under the leadership of Mr. Henry Harris (former president of Stellar Awards Gospel Music Academy Advisory). Mrs. Perkins’ songs are available on major platforms.
Speaker and Spiritual Authority: As a highly sought-after speaker and participant in prayer services, Mrs. Perkins’ presence often brings a palpable sense of spiritual authority and divine connection.She also continues to serve as one of the facilitators for the Standing in the Gap Prayer Line. Her life and work serve as a testament to the power of prayer and the transformative influence of dedicated spiritual leadership.
Personal: Mrs. Yvonne Perkins a devoted wife of over 40 years, a proud mother of two adult children, and grandmother of six. She states her mentors include her pastor, Apostle Richard D. Henton, Prophetess Rose Mary Blackwell and Rose Mary’s sister, Margaret Harrison (Standing In The Gap Ministry) and Evg. Margaret Ann Tipton (who trained her to love souls and become a certified soul winner.
